After getting some feedback on my original plans for the extended stay I made a few changes and uploaded a new PDF including those changes.
So, what's different?
-1/2 bath in the laundry area
-optional loft over the kitchen
-relocated master closets
Things to keep in mind
1. Permanent stairs aren't always necessary for accessing areas like lofts. Since tiny houses became popular, lots of great compact options for stairs, steps, and ladders have come around.
2. A small half bath can be gorgeous and functional! Again, thanks to tiny homes, unconventionally shaped sinks have made a come back. Just because it's small, doesn't mean it wont serve it's purpose well.
3. Try not to get stuck on where the windows are. Your lot may work better with lots of windows open to the porch, another lot may be better suited with windows along the sides of the house, I got super attached to my window layout when I designed my house and almost forgot how the sun and our preferred furniture would be accommodated.
If you have any revisions/additions in mind for this plan, let me know in the comments!
